Chemical Peels
MW Skin Concept offers superficial chemical peels for patients with mild acne and sun damage. Chemical peels can also improve surface texture and radiance of the skin. Chemical peels are generally well tolerated. It takes 15 minutes to perform. Patient may experience some mild redness after the procedure. Sun protection is important before and after this treatment.
TCA Cross
This is an ideal treatment for ice pick scarring from acne. The chemical peel agent called Tri-chloracetic acid is applied to the deepest part of the scar. This causes some inflammation and encourage repair to take place. This process induces collagen and reduce the depth of the scarring. Some swelling and crusting will occur with this treatment. Lighter or darker pigmentation are possible side effects especially in darker skin.
